For example, on a laptop, you may configure the 1

Connection with the Serial

Number of the IPG100, and configure the 2

Connection to use the Maretron

Cloud Server. That way N2KView will attempt the local connection first; if you are

off the boat the local connection will fail and you will fall back to the Cloud Server.

Or, if you have a primary IPG100 and backup USB100 with a PC server on your

network, enter the Serial Number of the IPG100 as the 1

Connection and the

USB100 as the 2

Connection; if the primary fails, you will automatically fall back

to the backup.

9.4.5.1.1 Available Connections

If N2KView detects any IPG100s on the local network (LAN) or that a USB100 is

connected, it will populate this list with a list of the IPG100s and USB100s found.

It gives the serial number and IP Address of the IPG100 and the number of the

Dongle plugged into the USB100.The connection may be entered into one of the

three main Connections by selecting the line in the list and pressing one of the

buttons directly below the list.

Connection

Having this box checked enables the rest of the boxes for the 1

Connection, and

is an overall enable for the 1

Connection.

Having this box checked enables the rest of the boxes for the 2

Having this box checked enables the rest of the boxes for the 3

Connection,

and is an overall enable for the 3

Connection.

This is a drop down list from which you may select one of the following

connection types for the connection to the NMEA 2000 network.
